A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME

The Bübchen brand started in 1947 with a real "Bübchen" and a loving father. Since then, millions of parents have trusted Bübchen products for the softest skin in the world.

2021

We're celebrating Bübchen's 60th anniversary!

2012

This year, children's products are introducing brand new bottles:
The ergonomic, upside-down design makes it easier for tiny hands to grasp. Thanks to its non-slip surface, children can hold it comfortably even in the shower.

2006

Bübchen doesn't always have to be blue. The Princess Rosalea series is enchanting with its pink color and peony scent.

2001

Approximately 40 million products leave the factory every year. Bübchen is trusted by mothers not only in Germany, but also in China, Korea, and Vietnam.

1999

Bübchen is launching a new special care line for children with its "Shampoo & Shower Gel Apricot."
It combines fruity and fresh scents with valuable ingredients, offering a fun experience with vibrant colors.
As with all Bübchen products, parents can be sure that their children's skin and hair care is done naturally and gently.

1983

In 1983, Bübchen joined Nestlé.
But one thing never changed: only products that are best for baby skin leave the factory doors.

1960-80

Between 1960 and 1980, Bübchen grew rapidly.
New products joined the family, and Bübchen became the brand recommended by midwives and pediatricians in Germany.

1961

Demand for Bübchen care products increased so much that the company had to establish its own production facility.
Accordingly, "Bübchen-Werk Ewald Hermes Pharmazeutische Fabrik GmbH" was founded in Soest.

1955

In the mid-1950s, Ewald Hermes began producing care products with his own self-developed formulas as a chemist.
Since he always wanted to offer his son the best, his first product category became Bübchen children's soap.

1947

Young Ewald Hermes recently became a father. Like many babies, his son suffered from colic.
As a chemist who knew the healing power of nature, Hermes prepared a soothing tea blend for his son:
it contained fennel, anise, coriander, caraway, and licorice root.

The mixture worked so well that Hermes began to sell it in his pharmacy.
Over time, more and more mothers began to ask for this soothing tea, and Bübchen's reputation spread beyond the city limits.
